After I got the new phone from Sprint; I still have trouble signing into my Gmail account and it was driving me bonkers.
Even the sale rep, tried to help getting me signed in but to no avail. So here I was trying and trying again to sign into Gmail for 4 1/2 days.
All that time; I kept getting that "Sorry, we cannot establish the eonnection to the server." and it was very annoying. So I plodded on and kept trying day after day even on several times a day.
I’ve tried it with my wireless network, their 4G network, and still no connection to Gamil. I sooooo wanted to get my Gmail going and get the apps. I counld not get any apps till I have the Gamil signed in.
So Ken and I went to several Sprint stores in the area and they have tried to get me signed into Gmail even with the regular handset reset, but to no avail.
And I can sign into Gmail no problem with the computer’s browser and even the sale rep. even signed in on their computer with my account. So what is wrong with this picture?
So it was decided that we go to Sanford, FL, to the Sprint Corporate store. So we went there on the Sunday and we waited for almost an hour for someone to call Ken’s name since my phone is under his account.
At last we were called by a tall account manager and we told him my problem with Gamil. So it turned out that the handset needed to be resetted to factory settings since he has encountered several customers that has the same problem as I did.
So he backed up my contact lists so that I don’t lose it in the factory-reset. Then, he did the handset reset using the factory-reset program in the phone. And then, I gave him my Gmail username and password so that he can sign in for me. He was soooo nice!!!
Then, BING!!!!! I got signed in!!! Woohooo!!!! That was a big sigh of relief when the guy fixed it for me. I was so happy then.
Then, Ken and I asked ourselves; Why didn’t the others tell us to do the "Factory-Reset" and why didn’t anyone think of it before? After all that time that I was going nuts trying to get signed in with Gmail. I mean I’ve spent 4 1/2 days trying to get into my Gmail account and no one had thought of the "Factory-Reset" app in the handset.
Anyway; all that what-if’s are over with and I was finally able to get Free Apps galores. And I can check my Gmail too.
So whenever you have trouble signing into Gmail or getting apps on the Android handset; have them back up the contact list and ask them to do the "Factory Reset" or let them help you do it. And then, either let them sign you in or sign in yourself. One caveat though; Be sure the unsername and password are correct and try to do it pretty fast because the unit’s backlight will put it to sleep mode.
Anyway; I’m very happy with my handset and I was able to get free apps galores and check my Gmail emails. 🙂
Well, that is about it for now. I’ll see y ou later on. So I’ll be coming up with yet another Android Moment. So until then, thank you for taking the time to read this blog. 🙂
