This blog entry is about picture taking. Yes, of all the family members over the years who have taken many hundreds and thousands of pictures of picnics, holiday gatherings, vacations, milestones, sceneries, and many different events that have taken place.
Ever since I have owned a camera when I was about 12 years old, I began to take many pictures through the years. Whenever I have taken any pictures, there are no self-portraits taken and other people would have to take those picture for me.
I have gone from the instamatic camera to those rectangular (cassette-styled) cameras to disc cameras and to those 35mm cameras. Yes, I have taken many photos that I have lost count of.
Those photos were of square shaped to rectangular shapes. I have used both re-usable cameras to disposable cameras to take pictures in. I prefer the reusable ones since I can always get new films over the disposable ones.
Even the type of films are used. I have seen those that are in the cartridges while others are in the disc and still the rest are in 35mm format where you pull enough to latch it on the spindle.
The film style cameras are still around but you don’t see much of them in stores. Why? Digital cameras are in!
Digital taken the market by the storm as more consumers use digital cameras so that they can take as many pictures as they need to, and not have to reload the films. Over time; the mega-pixels are increasing to slowly match that of the crisp and vivid colors of the 35mm film photos.
So I have gone from the film cameras to the digital cameras for several reasons besides the amount of images to photograph. One main reason is being able to see the LCD screen clearly without having to strain my eyes even if the picture quality is a bit sub-standard.
So as the few years go by; I now have the mobile device where I am able to see the image much easier and that I have more control over them. I can now upload them to Dropbox when I need them to and grab those photos when I’m home.
Now I am able to take self-portraits with relative ease. Before I had to ask someone to snap a photo of me whenever there is a family gathering or special event taken place by a group or friends.
So yes, I have been a family shutterbug in most of my family gatherings as soon as I began using those cameras. I was even able to take photos using another family member’s camera without much effort.
So, no, I don’t think I would be getting that fancy-dancy DSLR digital camera. So I am happy with what I have here. I can either use thos mobile devices such as my tablet or phone, or my digital camera.
I like to take pictures of anything that interests me such as sunsets, nature, silly dog tricks, objects, food, and people. Oh, and let’s not forget about me! Haha.
Anyway; I think this is about what I have to blog about. One of my hobbies that I have done for sometimes. So take care, everyone. Be efficient!!!
