Well, here is another short childhood reminisce blog. You know that sometimes that the food orders gets mixed up or confusing as things go missing.
Anyway; this is probably be the short blog about my visits to the McDonald’s fast-food restaurants as a little girl.
Granddaddy George has often taken me to McDonald’s for the usual cheeseburger, fries and soda. I have enjoyed going with him just to talk to him about my childhood and to be with him.
Well, there is one time that Granddaddy had ordered my usual lunch meal (now known as the "Happy-Meal") when we have gone to McDonald’s. I didn’t know whether the workers had either misplaced the cheeseburger or left out a cheese.
When we sat at the table, we began to eat our lunch meal. I just so happen to notice that something was wrong with my cheeseburger, very wrong, in the child’s mind as I lifted the top bun off the burger. I burst into tears and I blubbered, "I-I…can’t believe it. I…can’t believe it, Granddaddy!" He’d asked, "What’s wrong?" I replied still in tears, "There-there’s NO CHEESE!"
So Granddaddy simply picked up the burger and walked back to the counter to exchange the burger order, no questions asked, which was amusing. One of the employees graciously replaced the burger with the one with the cheese on it.
Then, I was happy to have my cheeseburger when Granddaddy returned with the fresh sandwich. And I was content to eat my cheeseburger, fries and soda with my granddaddy so that I can resume my usual childhood stories.
So there’s my short blog about one of my short childhood reminisce. I say "short" for emphasis for how my life has been altered in later years and to to remember the times that I missed. I hope you enjoy this little blog and to remember how you have been visiting your grandparents to go to places to eat.
