Thunderstorm. It is something to fear and to respect. It is something to marvel and to appreciate.
I like the thunderstorm because of its awesome power that it is be respected.
The lightning and the thunder, they are powerful as we see and hear them. We feel the heat and we feel the coolness when it rains.
I have been fascinated by the thunderstorms for quite some time and I do not quite remember when I really develop this interest in thunderstorms. It is an amazing phenomenon to listen and to watch.
I used to be able to be out in the rain without the worry of having to rush into the house or a building when the thunderstorm is nearby to watch and listen.
When I begin to feel the drops of rain; I have to rush inside the houses or buildings in order to keep dry. Why do I have to keep dry? It is because I am wearing hearing aids. Even if I wear the rain bonnets, shower-caps or rain hats; I had to look for a dry shelter.
So whenever the thunderstorms passed, they would sometimes linger a bit in the late afternoon or evening in order that the rainbow would appear. The rainbows are beautiful, too. At night, I would watch a nearby heat lightning lighting up the large clouds. I marveled at their flashing glows.
Even if I like the thunderstorms at night so that I don’t have to go places in the rain, I could not sleep because of the bright flashing of lightnings so I stay awake till they pass or I wear the eye patch to shield my eye from the flashes.
Sometimes, the thunderstorms can wreak havoc on anything that touches and sometimes they create the beauty in the sky. The thunderstorms are to fear and to marvel. I sometimes had to rush to find dry place and sometimes I’d stay awake to watch the flashes of glows in the clouds. I learned to appreciate the rain that they brought to water the nature on the Earth.
So I believe that is about it for this blog entry till the next entry. 🙂
